Our Story

ReadConnect, a student-founded nonprofit organization,  was founded in 2021 in Hong Kong in response to the challenges posed by COVID-19, initiating volunteer reading programs aimed at non-native English speaking children. These sessions were designed to counteract reduced face-to-face interactions during the pandemic, providing a platform for children to gain confidence in speaking and communicating in English through interactions with our teen volunteers. Alongside our Hong Kong team, we have dedicated teams in Thailand, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, all united in our mission to foster a love of reading and a positive mindset globally.

To date, we have serviced over 200 students and donated 1000+ books around the world

What we do

1

Volunteer Chapters

Empowering Future Generations
Our volunteer chapters, backed by an organized reading program, collaborate closely with local schools and community centers. Through active engagement, we foster a love for reading among children. This united effort allows us to make a substantial positive impact, equipping young learners with love of reading and positive mindset.

Resource Enrichment

Fostering love and positivity

We provide a curated list of books for various age groups and accompanying extension worksheets, along with video recommendations. These resources are accessible to schools and community centers, enabling them to nurture a love of reading and foster a positive culture among children
